Dinghy Dawdle - Lyrup Flats Murray River National Park (18-21 March 2022)
Due to problems with water levels and creek accessability, this four day event was transferred to a camp at Lyrup Flats rather than the previously advertised Higgin's Cutting. We occupied two or three campsites in the Murray River National Park, with tents, campers, camper-trailers and caravans all within a stones throw of the river's edge. Small boats, including tinnies and other dinghies and canoes/kayaks were used to explore the river environment including the Pike River, Tanyaca and Rumpagunya Creeks. Sunday lunch was had at the Lyrup Community Club, accessed by dinghy. We probably covered 50km by water over the course of the three days of boating. Thanks to Lissa and Vic for organizing an excellent event.
